About Lake Ponemah
Lake Ponemah (also searched as “Ponemah Lake”) is a natural kettle lake in Fenton Charter Township, Genesee County. It sits north of Silver Lake Road and west of North Road, between the cities of Fenton and Linden, which are each within about a mile.
The lake is the center of a connected chain. Channels join it to Aanikegamaa Lake (formerly Squaw Lake) and Tupper Lake, and a series of canals adds more water frontage. The Shiawassee River runs through Ponemah and on into Tupper, and Silver Lake drains into Ponemah from the south.

What to know before you buy on Lake Ponemah
Frontage comes in several forms
Homes around the chain range from direct lakefront to canal frontage, shared frontage and lake-privilege lots. Each one changes what you pay, where you can dock and how you'll use the water, so John helps you compare like with like.
A lake with an active association
The PST Lake Association, founded in 1963, now speaks for more than 650 homes on Ponemah, Aanikegamaa and Tupper. A Fenton Township special assessment district pays for weed treatment and lake biologists, so ask about it when you budget.
School lines split the lake
Lake Ponemah overlaps both Fenton Area Public Schools and Lake Fenton Community Schools. Which one serves a home depends on the exact address, so confirm it for every house on your list.
